The 3 Best Items From Starbucks’ New Valentine’s Day Drinkware Collection

Did anyone else feel like January was at least four months long? We can’t be the only ones. Now that it’s officially February, we’re obsessing over all the promo items coming out for Valentine’s Day, including the very festive—and very on-brand—new Starbucks drinkware collection.

For every major holiday, we can always count on an epic drinkware collection from Starbucks. In fact, it’s something we, like most fans, look forward to. While Valentine’s Day might not be a favorite for everyone, Kristin Salaky, news editor at Delish.com, said it best: “As you might have assumed, the collection is extremely cute … so cute in fact, that it might just turn a Valentine’s Day cynic into a Valentine’s lover in no time.”

Let’s check out some of the neat drinkware items from the collection.

One of our favorite items has to be the clear mug with (what looks like) pink, red and white heart-shaped sprinkles in the handle. It’s simple, but still goes along with the Valentine’s Day theme. In addition, the Starbucks logo is smaller and located at the bottom, which allows the handle to be the biggest detail of the mug.

Another item that caught our eye was the sparkle tumbler with flower details. This could easily be a Christmas, New Year’s, spring or Valentine’s Day tumbler since it’s not overtly “Valentine’s Day.” So, there’s no need to worry about putting this tumbler away once the month is over.

Lastly, if you noticed a mouse detail on any of the drinkware items, it wasn’t just random. There was a reason for it. It’s all because of the Year of the Rat, according to Refinery29:

Given the success of lunar New Year merchandise in the Asian and Canadian markets, Starbucks is bringing its Lunar New Year goods stateside for the first time, in a Target exclusive. This year is also the Year of the Rat, so you’ll also find red mugs with adorable white mouse imagery on them. Starbucks’ most loyal followers have spotted these new offerings at their local coffee shops and select Target stores.

Starbucks always knows the type of drinkware and merch end-users love. If you don’t believe us, just check out the two simple Instagram hashtags (#starbucksvalentine and #starbucksvalentinecollection). Combined, there are already 8,315 posts, since people love hyping up the releases.

Fans hoping to get their hands on some—or all—of the collection can find it in Starbucks and Starbucks Target stores.
